AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Well it's finally here, in less then 23 hours time I will be on the Train leaving Waterloo, and England, on my way to Aulnoye!!
I'm currently printing out loads of photos to take with me, (got about 100!!!) So no matter what my flat looks like I can cover the walls with photos!
I'm pretty much packed, though there are still a few things I somehow need to stuff in!! I got some Vacuum bags from Argos, which are great, it means I can take all my bedding, and towels (since the flat doesn't have any!) I've managed to pack most of my clothes in the bags, too, though I still have 3 big suitcases!! (Thank God Mum and Dad are coming too, I wouldn't be able to bring half the stuff without them!!) I have no idea how on earth I'm going to get it all home again, but I don't need to worry about that yet!!!
I don't think it's quite hit me yet that I'm actually going, it's weird I keep thinking of all the little things I'll be missing, like English food, and reading newspapers, and watching TV (though I think I may have been able to persuade my Dad to get a DVD recorder, so he's gonna record stuff and send it to me!!!) I think the point it will actually hit will be on Thursday when Mum and Dad go Home, and I have to stay behind. That is the day I am least looking forward too, but I've decided that I'm not going to actually decorate my flat in any way until then, that way I'll have something to do on Thursday evening, and Friday.
I don't know yet how long it will be until I can get Internet, hopefully if I have a phone line, it shouldn't be that long. I've found a company called Neuf, that has wireless Internet, phone, and TV for 30Euros a month, I think it works in Aulnoye (Well at least the town was in the list of places it covered!) It sounds pretty good, I wasn't actually aiming for wireless Internet since it is just me in the flat, but I have always had wireless Internet on my laptop, so it would be strange to have a wire in it! And the phone and TV sounds good as well, I wasn't actually going to get a TV, but apparently I get TV on my laptop, (and if anyone has a spare TV they want to lend me...I wouldn't say no!!) Especially as it means I might actually get to see the 4th series of Lost (I don't have Sky, so missed the entire 3rd series, if it wasn't for finding the transcripts online, I wouldn't have a clue what was going on!!) Apparently they also have 'Heroes' in France as well, they are just about to start the 2nd series, although unfortunately due to the BBC being so far behind, I haven't seen the end of the 1st series!!! Which means I'm just likely to get really really confused!!
Unfortunately it may take up to 4 weeks to install it....What am I going to do without Internet for 4 weeks!!! I'm hoping that there will be Internet in the school or something that I can used, failing that, I'll be in the library!!! The strangest thing will be not having anything to do in the evenings!! No TV and no Internet = one bored Becca!!!! For this reason I have got about 10 DVD's to watch, so that should keep me amused for a few days!!!
Well that's it from me in England, Tomorrow I leave for France, I'm staying one night in Lille, before travelling to Aulnoye on Tuesday, I get the keys to my flat, and after dumping my stuff, I'm going to look round the town. My responsable said that she would find a hotel for Mum and Dad, although, she hasn't told me if she's found anywhere, so that could be interesting!! In which case Tuesday afternoon will be spent looking for a hotel for Mum and Dad!! Wednesday will probably be spent buying all the stuff I need for the flat, and food (that is quite important!!!) And then on Thursday we'll travel back up to Lille so Mum and Dad can get the train back Home, and then I'll get the train back to Aulnoye :(
Hopefully I might be able to find somewhere with Internet next weekend, so I can write about my flat and stuff, If not I'll update when ever I can.....
Till the next time....
A bientot!
Becca
